BIPV Enables Power Generation in Steel Structure Buildings

On the afternoon of May 15, 2021, the ninth compilation seminar of the "New Construction Atlas of Metal Enclosure and Floor System for Steel Structure Buildings" was held on schedule at HB Construction Company.

The atlas compilation committee invited Shaanxi Nonferrous New Energy Development Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Helio New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to participate in the compilation of the atlas , contributing the latest technological achievements to the roof and wall power generation of steel structure buildings.


This collaboration between BIPV and steel structure design showcases the effective integration of photovoltaic energy and steel structures, two emerging elements that align with the demands of the times and the market. BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) is a technology that integrates solar power generation (photovoltaic) products into buildings . BIPV products possess inherent advantages in integration with steel structures, and their components offer fire resistance, pressure resistance, and waterproofing. Through BIPV, steel structures can generate their own electricity.
